We are following the treatment in 'Classification of Boraginaceae subfam. Ehretioideae: Resurrection of the genus Hilsenbergia Tausch ex Meisn.' James S. Miller; Adansonia 25 (2) p151 - 189; 2003. This treatment is not accepted in 'Flora of Somalia Vol. 3; M. Thulin 2006', where the genus Bourreria is retained and the plant is treated as Bourreria lyciacea Thulin.
