General Information

Hilsenbergia nemoralis is often a shrub growing up to 2.5 metres tall, though it can also become a tree up to 7.5 metres, occasionally to 12 metres tall. The plant is occasionally scandent; the stems are often hollow[, , ].
The plant is harvested from the wild for local use as a medicine and source of wood.
