General Information

Sloanea lasiocoma is a semideciduous tree with a dense, rounded crown; it can grow 15 - 30 metres tall. The somewhat crooked bole is 70 - 90cm in diameter with large tabular or prop roots at the base[].
The tree is sometimes harvested from the wild for use of its wood.

Seed - best sown as soon as it is ripe in a partially shaded position in a nursery seedbed. A low germination rate can be expected, with the seed sprouting within 40 - 60 days[].
