Lemaireocereus hollianus is a spiny, leafless, evergreen, columnar cactus with an erect stem that can be 4 - 5 metres tall and 5 - 7cm in diameter. Some plants are unbranched, others can produce branches from near the base
The plant is harvested from the wild for local use asa food. It is cultivated for use as a living fence[
