Eugenia sinaloae is a Mexican shrub or tree species restricted to Nayarit and Sinaloa. Change in land use (wood extraction and agriculture) is occurring across the range, which has caused the decline in habitat quality, as well as direct mortality. In fact, the population of this species is considered to be experiencing a continuing decline. The plant is classified as 'Vulnerable' in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species(2013)[
