General Information

Duguetia confusa is a tree that can grow from 2 - 25 metres tall with a trunk 8 - 20cm in diameter[].
The plant is harvested from the wild for local use as a food and source of wood.
Duguetia confusa has a very wide distribution, large population, is not currently experiencing any major threats and no significant future threats have been identified. The plant is classified as 'Least Concern' in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species(2019)[].

Fruit - raw. A white pulp with a sweet flavour[]. The subglobose fruit is green to yellow, maturing red, around 35 - 55mm in diameter, comprisong 75 - 100 fertile carpels each 18 - 22mm long and 8 - 12mm in diameter[].
