Bignonia nocturna is a climbing plant with woody stems with vigorous woody stems that can be 5cm or more in diameter and climb high into the surrounding trees It attaches itself to nearby vegetation by means of tendrils[]..

The bark is drunk with milk for treating pulmonary discomfort[]. A decoction of the bark is drunk as a treatment
