Anredera baselloides

(Kunth) Baill.

Basellaceae

Anredera baselloides seems to be a rare species and is recognised by, e.g. its elliptic leaf blades and rather stout racemes with distinctly pedicellate flowers. The perianth becomes brown in fruit, with somewhat patent sepals and erect petals that loosely enclose the fruit. This name has been misapplied for several other species in the genus, one of the original sources being Hooker's illustration of Anredera cordifolia under the wrong name (Hooker 1837).
