General Information

Annona scandens is a scrambling shrub or a tree growing around 150 - 200cm tall[].
The plant is harvested from the wild for local use as a food.
Annona scandens has a wide range but is not common within that range and is only known from ten localities. All these localities are threatened by deforestation and other human-based activities. The plant is classified as 'Vulnerable' in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species(2021)[].
