Stahlia monosperma is an evergreen tree; it usually grows from 7 - 15 metres tall, but can reach 20 metres. The bole can be 30 - 45cm in diameter, occasionally reaching 100cm. Trees in the wild are usually small because most of the larger trees have been cut down[

Other Uses

The heartwood is dark brown; the sapwood light brown. The wood is very hard, heavy, strong, durable, and resistant to attack by drywood termites. Suitable for furniture, although it is considered somewhat hard for this purpose. It was mostly used for construction in the past when more trees were available.
