Wunderlichia cruelsiana is a deciduous shrub or tree with a wide, open crown; it can grow 3 - 6 metres tall. The short, crooked bole can be 20 - 30cm in diameter with a very thick, corky bark[

Propagation
Seed - best sown as soon as it is ripe in a partially shaded position in a nursery seedbed. Sow the seeds on the surface of the soil and press them down firmly - be careful not to wash them away when watering. A low germination rate can be expected, with the seed sprouting within 40 - 50 days[
