General Information

Weberocereus glaber is a spiny, succulent, epiphytic cactus producing stems around 2 - 3 metres long. These stems can be climbing, lying flat on the ground or pendent, with lateral branching. The stems are more or less rounded at the base, becoming three-angled above and often with copious aerial roots[

Weberocereus glaber has a wide range. In the Mexican part of its range the species occurs in a conflict area and is thus poorly studied. However, the subpopulations in other parts of its range (e.g. Guatemala) are reported to be abundant. The plant is classified as 'Least Concern' in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species(2017)[
