Vitex peduncularis has a large extent of occurrence and is known from at least 11 - 15 localities. Although there is a decline in the area of occupancy and extent of occurrence as well as a loss of quality of habitat, on a global level the plant is classified as 'Least Concern' in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species(2020)[
