General Information

Vaccinium miquelii is a large, evergreen shrub or small tree growing up to 6 metres tall. The bole can be up to 40cm in diameter[]. The plant is often stunted when growing at higher elevations, whilst there is also a smaller form (var atjehense Sikum) that is sometimes dwarf and creeping[].
The edible fruit is sometimes gathered from the wild for local use.
