General Information

Tabernaemontana hystrix is an shrub or a tree with a low, dense crown growing 4 - 6 metres tall. The bole is usually short and crooked, around 25 - 30cm in diameter[].
The tree is sometimes harvested from the wild for local use of its wood. It is highly recommended for use in re-establishing native woodland. An ornamental plant, it could be useful for planting under power lines and in narrow streets[].
