General Information
Strychnos bredemeyeri is a climbing shrub, supporting itself in other plnts by means of tendrils.
Although poisonous, the plant is sometimes harvested from the wild for local medicinal use.
Known Hazards
The plant contains alkaloids that have a curare-like action. Curare causes death by asphyxiation due to the loss of control of muscles essential in respiration[
