Strombosia ceylanica is a shrub or, more commonly, a tree usually growing 10- 20 metres tall with exceptional specimens to 36 metres. The crown is compact; the bole straight, closely branched, occasionally up to 1 .2 metres at the base and sometimes buttressed[
