Sideroxylon capiri tempisque is a deciduous tree that can grow up to 35 metres tall, usually with a large, broad crown. The bole is usually short, it can be up to 120cm in diameter with stout, simple buttresses up to 250cm high. The plant is leafless for a few weeks in the dry season[
