General Information

Rauvolfia javanica is a tree usually growing up to 22 metres tall, occasionally to 30 metres. The bole is up to 65cm in diameter[].
The tree is sometimes harvested from the wild for local medicinal use.

Known Hazards

Although we have seen no specific information for this species, most if not all members of this genus contain poisonous alkaloids[].
