The heartwood is a light beige-pinkish; it is not clearly demarcated from the sapwood. The texture is medium; the grain is straight; lustre medium; there is no distinctive taste or aroma. The wood is soft, light in weight, with poor mechanical properties and not durable. Easy to work with, it is used in the manufacture of low value items such as toys, packing cases, linings etc[
