Other Uses

The wood is white to pale grey. The grain is straight, texture medium. The wood is light in weight, once dry it is stable in service. It works easily and finishes well. It is not durable, although in tests it showed fair resistance to fungal attacks. It is quite easy to impregnate with preservatives. The wood is sometimes used for construction, and for knife handles. It is also suitable for the production of veneer, plywood and particle board, and for panelling, light boxes and crates[
