General Information
Licuala valida is an evergreen palm with a single, unbranched stem that can range from subterranean up to 4 metres tall, often with smaller stems at the base. The main stem can be 8 - 10cm or more in diameter. The plant produces a crown of large, fan-shaped leaves on petioles that can be 150 - 300cm long[
