General Information

Lecomtedoxa nogo is an evergreen tree that ca grow up to 40 metres tall[].
The tree is harvested from the wild for local use as a source of an oil and wood.
This species has a very limited range that is restricted to Gabon. Most areas in which it grows are under concession to logging companies. The plant is classified as 'Vulnerable' in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species(2013)[].
