Geonoma camana is an evergreen palm growing 1 - 4 metres tall. The plant usually produces a single stem; this is rarely subterranean, more commonly 30 - 200cm long and 2 - 4cm in diameter; it is topped by a crown of 5 - 14 leaves that can each be up to 2 metres long[
