General Information
Gaussia maya is a single-stemmed, evergreen palm growing 5 - 20 metres tall. The unbranched stem can be 10 - 15cm in diameter, occasionally to 30cm; it is topped by a crown of 6 - 8 large leaves that can each be 2.7 metres long[
