Euterpe luminosa is an evergreen palm growing 5 - 11 metres tall. The plant usually forms a cluster of unbranched stems, although very often only one of the stems will develop fully; the stems can be 5 - 7cm in diameter; they are topped by a crown of 9 - 12 leaves[
