General Information

Euphorbia monteiroi is an evergreen, succulent, perennial plant producing a number of usually unbranched stems from a woody rootstock. The roots are occasionally rhizomatous, branching below ground to form spreading plants. The whole plant usually grows up to 30cm tall, though can sometimes be up to 75cm[

The South African plant: The leaves of this plant turns pink/red during winter and in Gauteng - north of the Magallies mouton range - it was found that they do lose their leaves during winter.
They do tolerate light shade.
They can also be propagated from stem cuttings.
