Until we can obtain more information, we are currently (06/05/2023) treating Eugenia subterminalis as a distinct species, with no known synonyms, and with a range mainly in northern and western S. America, whilst assuming that Eugenia psidiflora O.Berg is the correct name for the more southerly species in Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina.[
