Duguetia uniflora is a tree growing from 3 - 22 metres tall with a trunk around 5 - 25cm in diameter[].
The plant is harvested from the wild for local use as a food.
Duguetia uniflora has a very wide distribution, large population, is not currently experiencing any major threats and no significant future threats have been identified. The plant is classified as 'Least Concern' in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species(2019)[].

Fruit - raw. The red pulp has a sweet flavour[]. The green fruit is globose to subglobose, around 30 - 55mm in diameter, composed of 150 - 300 fertile carpels each around 15 - 25mm long and 3 - 8mm in diameter[].
