General Information

Duguetia paraensis is a tree growing around 3 - 16 metres tall with a trunk 3 - 30cm in diameter[].
The plant is harvested from the wild for local use of its wood
Duguetia paraensis has a very wide distribution, large population, is not currently experiencing any major threats and no significant future threats have been identified. The plant is classified as 'Least Concern' in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species(2019)[].

The green, yellow, or brown, globose to broadly ellipsoid fruit is 20 - 40mm long and 15 - 40mm in diameter, composed of 20 - 30 fertile carpels, each 7 - 10mm long and 5 - 12mm in diameter[].
