]. Schumann originally published the species epithet as mupangae. Sprague (J. Bot. 59: 349 (1921)) corrected this to shupangae on the basis that Schumann’s intention was to commemorate the locality of the type collection that he, Sprague, gives as Shupanga. Subsequent authors have followed him. The name on the type specimen at Kew is written as Chupanga![
