General Information

Diospyros morrisiana is a deciduous shrub or a tree that can grow from 3 - 20 metres tall. The bole can be up to 30cm in diameter[].
The tree is harvested from the wild for mainly local use as a medicine, and a source of gum and wood.

Cultivation Details

A plant of the subtropics in southern China and Japan, just moving into tropical regions[].
