Decaspermum parviflorum
(Lam.) A.J.Scott
Myrtaceae
Most of the entries regarding plant usage in this record were recorded for the Philippines and Borneo, and were listed under the name Decaspermum fruticosum J.R.Forst. & G.Forst.. There is some confusion over the correct application for Decaspermum fruticosum - some treatments apply the name in a narrow sense and restrict it to several Pacific Islands, whilst others treat it in a wider sense to include southeast Asia.
We are treating Decaspermum fruticosum here in the narrow sense and are applying the various uses to the species Decaspermum parviflorum (Lam.) A.J.Scott, following the treatment of A.J.Scott in The Austral-Pacific Species of Decaspermum (Myrtaceae), Kew Bulletin, Vol. 34, No. 1 (1979), pp. 59-67, DOI: 10.2307/4117971
