General Information

Cynometra ramiflora is an evergreen tree with a dense crown growing from 4 - 26 metres tall[]. The bole can be 30cm in diameter[].
The tree is harvested from the wild for its timber and various medicinal uses. It is sometimes grown as an ornamental in gardens, being valued for its beautiful, pendant inflorescences covered with large, conspicuous, attractive, silvery bracts[, ].
