This species is very similar to, and perhaps not distinct from, Croton guatemalensis and Croton niveus[].

General Information

Croton reflexifolius is a shrub or small tree, commonly growing from 2 - 8 metres tall[].
The plant is harvested from the wild for local medicinal use. It is also grown to provide shelter from the wind in coffee plantations, The dry leaves are sold commonly in local markets as remedies, to be used in home treatment of malaria and other conditions[].
Croton reflexifolius has a very wide distribution, large population, is not currently experiencing any major threats and no significant future threats have been identified. The plant is classified as 'Least Concern' in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species(2019)[].
