General Information

Couratari asterotricha is a semideciduous tree with a very wide, dense crown; it can grow 10 - 20 metres tall. The straight, cylindrical bole can be 50 - 80cm in diameter[].
The tree is harvested from the wild for its wood.

Propagation

Seed - it has a short viability of less than 60 days in storage[]. Sow the seed as soon as it is ripe in a semi-shaded position in individual containers.
