General Information

Cordia crenata is a shrub or small tree growing up to 7 metres tall[].
The edible fruit is sometimes harvested from the wild for local use. The plant is sometimes grown in gardens[], though the report does not make it clear if it is grown for its fruit or as an ornamental[].
Cordia crenata has a large distribution range; despite declines in quality and extent of the habitat, it will be

Fruit - raw[]. In general the fruit comprises a thin to fairly thick layer of pulpy, sweetish-tasting flesh surrounding a single seed[]. The oblong-ovoid, orange fruit can be 13mm long and 8mm wide[].
