General Information

Clusia lanceolata is an evergreen shrub or small tree with a dense, irregular crown; it can grow 3 - 5 metres tall. The crooked bole usually branches from low down, it can be 10 - 15cm in diameter[].
The tree is sometimes harvested from the wild for local use of its wood. Very ornamental, especially when in flower, it is often used in landscaping[].
