General Information

Chrysophyllum splendens is an evergreen shrub or tree with an elongate or pyramidal crown; it can grow 7 - 18 metres tall[]. The cylindrical bole can be 30 - 50cm in diameter[].
The tree is harvested from the wild for local use of its wood.

Seed - best sown as soon as it is ripe in a shady position in a nursery seedbed. Germination rates are usually low, with the seed sprouting within 4 - 6 weeks[].
