Ceroxylon vogelianum is a single-stemmed, evergreen palm growing 3 - 13 metres tall. The unbranched stem can be 10 - 20cm in diameter; sometimes covered with a thin layer of wax; and topped by a crown of 6 - 15 large leaves[
