However, various other treatments see Campsiandra laurifolia as a var of Campsiandra comosa (as Campsiandra comosa var. laurifolia (Benth.) R.S.Cowan)

Campsiandra laurifolia is a tree with a spreading crown; it can grow up to 30 metres tall. The straight, cylindrical bole can be free of branches for 12 - 15 metres and around 60cm in diameter[

Other Uses
The heartwood is a dark reddish-brown; it is not clearly demarcated from the light brown sapwood which has occasional yellowish areas or dark streaks. The wood is fairly straight-grained, medium to coarse-textured with no noticeable taste. It is hard, heavy, strong and very durable, It is not easy to work, but has an attractive finish. A highly esteemed wood, its supply is limited and so it is used mainly in heavy construction, carpentry etc[
