General Information

Campnosperma brevipetiolatum is an evergreen tree that can grow up to 50 metres tall. The straight, cylindrical bole is up to 120cm in diameter, exceptionally to 220cm, sometimes with buttresses up to 250cm high, 2 metres outwards and 15cm thick[, ].
The tree is harvested from the wild for its wood, which is a good quality hardwood that is traded internationally[]. An oil obtained from the wood has local economic significance[].
