General Information

Calyptranthes grandifolia is an evergreen tree with a dense, narrow, elongated crown; it can grow 5 - 14 metres tall. The somewhat crooked bole can be 20 - 30cm in diameter[].
The tree is sometimes harvested from the wild for local use as a food and source of wood.
