General Information

Calyptranthes clusiifolia is an evergreen tree with a dense, more or less globose crown; it can grow 6 - 8 metres tall. The upright, cylindrical bole can be 20 - 35cm in diameter[].
The tree is sometimes harvested from the wild for local use of its wood. An ornamental plant, it can be used in general landscaping[].

Propagation

Seed - best sown as soon as it is ripe in a sunny position in a nursery seedbed. A germination rate of less than 50% can usually be expected, with the seed sprouting within 10 - 15 days[].
