General Information

Zingiber mioga is a herbaceous, perennial plant producing a clump of erect, unbranched stems that grow 1.5 - 2 metres tall. The flowers are produced at the base of the stems.
The plant is sometimes cultivated for its leaves, and is occasionally available fresh in Japanese markets[
