Viguieranthus pervillei is an evergreen tree that can grow up to 12 metres tall.
The tree is harvested from the wild for local use of its wood.
Despite severe threats to its habitat, Viguieranthus pervillei is fairly widespread across the east of Madagascar. The plant is classified as 'Least Concern' in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species(2013)[
