We have taken the spelling for this species from the Kew 'World Checklist of Selected Plant Families'. However, some other databases of names, such as 'Tropicos' spell the name Stemona collinsae.

General Information

Stemona collinsiae is at first an erect plant, but as it grows older it becomes a climbing or trailing plant up to 60cm tall.
The plant is gathered from the wild as a source of an insecticide.
