General Information

Plectocomia pierreana is a spiny, evergreen, climbing palm usually producing a cluster of stems (though sometimes solitary) that climb high into the surrounding trees. The stems are generally unbranched, though they sometimes form branches higher up; they can be 35 metres or more long and 5 - 100mm in diameter, with internodes 11 - 24cm long[
