General Information

Peperomia tetraphylla is a succulent, perennial herb with tufted creeping stolons. It often forms dense clumps of growth with numerous erect stems 10 - 30cm tall that form roots at the nodes, the plant sometimes forming mats of growth on tree branches. The stolons give rise to more erect flowering shoots[, ].
The plant is harvested from the wild for local medicinal use. It is sometimes grown as an ornamental[], and would probably make a good ground cover.
