General Information

Mauritia flexuosa is a very large and spectacular palmate, single-stemmed, evergreen palm growing 15 - 25 metres tall. The unbranched bole can be 30 - 50cm in diameter, topped by a rounded crown of large leaves with petioles that can be up to 6 metres long[
